A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1200 Hrs on November
4, 2023, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in
York, with a visitation from 10 a.m.-noon. The service will be webcast live
and can be viewed by searching Debra’s obituary on HeffnerCare.com. The
committal will be private in Arlington National Cemetery.

After the loss of her son, Army SPC. Zachary R. Clouser, Debra founded The
SPC Zachary Clouser Memorial Foundation
This fund allows for the assistance of homeless veterans that may not be
able to provide for themselves, that may need a warm meal, or a warm bed
for the night, a clean outfit, to send care packages to the troops serving
overseas protecting our freedom and other various community support.

Debra’s son, SPC Zachary R. Clouser served During Operation Iraqi Freedom
assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st
Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany; died July 18, 2007, in Adhamiyah,
Iraq, of wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked by enemy forces
using an improvised explosive device and small-arms fire.

Debra was a member of American Gold Star Mothers, Central PA Chapter and
York Veteran Network. She was past president of VFW Post 556 Ladies
Auxiliary.
Debra Ann Etheridge is a true patriot who has dedicated her life to helping
and honoring the memory and service of her son and our veterans. Now it's
our turn to stand and honor her.
