*HOTH MISSION*
*Community Kick-Off Ceremony with Homes for Our Troops*

*ABOUT THE MISSION:*
Homes for Our Troops will be building  a mortgage-free home for a local
disabled Marine veteran, Cpl. Dan Lasko, in Wind Gap.  He enlisted shortly
out of high school and coincidentally was sworn in on the morning of
9-11-01.  In 2004 Cpl. Lasko was deployed to Afghanistan as a vehicle
machine gunner with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit when he was on a
recon mission and an IED exploded as his vehicle drove through a pass in
Tarin Kowt. He suffered the loss of his left leg below the knee, sustained
a traumatic brain injury, and various other injuries.  After coping with
his injuries for over 15 years, he is now medically retired but it has
taken a toll on him physically.  Dan resides with his wife and two young
sons but his current home presents a challenge on days that he needs to use
his crutches, knee scooter or wheelchair and that is where Homes for Our
Troops stepped in.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to escort Dan's family from the N.
Summit Climbing Gym to the kick off ceremony at House on the Rock Church
(approx. 2 miles) and also to stand flagline for his arrival at the
church.

*INSTRUCTIONS:*
This mission will include two parts - the escort of the family to the
church and the flagline in place at the church to welcome them when they
arrive.  A ceremony will take place around 10 AM at the church and a
luncheon will follow.   If desired, donations for Cpl. Lasko's home build
will be accepted at the ceremony.

Water will NOT be provided.
Please bring your 3x5 flags.
Lg. bike flags are encouraged for the escort.
Bring your honor and respect.
