[BKNY15] After Action Report/RHPD PO Rob Sproston Escort Detail

Brothers, Today turned out to be a fantastic day, the WX broke early, and we had a nice turn-out for RHPD PO Rob Sproston’s escort home from St Charles. The parking lot was packed with PD, FD, EMS departments from within 20 miles, endless family & friends showing their support. The hospital staff nearly emptied out to the hospital entrance & apron, 100’s of people cheering him on as he walked out of the hospital and climbed into an awaiting Riverhead Vol Ambulance (same Ambulance crew that patched him up at the scene). It was honor to be invited by the RHPD/Riverhead Town Police PBA President John Morris, to join in celebrating Rob’s recovery and return home. 

Eight of your BKNY15 Brothers, took part in todays function, we were welcomed and assigned a position in the Escort Detail. As we arrived and dismounted, we received numerous elbow/fist bumps and familiar head nods, from many of the Bosses, Motor Officers, PO’s & Troopers from Billy D’Ambrosia’s service, earlier this week. 

Kudos to you my Brother's, it has been a busy week and you’ve done well! I thank you all, for your emails/text ,and your  juggling of schedules & routines to be there. And I know there were many more of you, who could not partake, due to work, physical limitations and schedules, etc. Thank you as well!
We are raising own visibility and awareness, which I feel will continue to help our BKNY15 ranks & enrollment. Keep it up! 

I certainly haven’t forgotten .. please thank your wives, girlfriends and families, for your time away ... to be with your BK Brothers.

Please keep Past President Tony Ferraiola, in your prayers, he has been holding off on a-much-needed Hernia(s) operation, but due to COVID-19, Surgical limitations, Hospital availability, etc. It turns out on Thursday afternoon, he re-injured it (considerably) and is in severe pain and needing to get the surgery asap. We’ll keep you posted!

Numerous Police Agencies, Emerald Society, FD’s, etc will also be in attendance. The WX appears to be excellent.  I realize, this has been a busy week, but our active Brothers & Sisters are requesting our assistance.
