*About the Veteran / Friend / and PGRPA Brother:*
This morning July 4, 2023 our beloved Friend and Brother Lewis Arnold
Winnecour passed away. Sgt Winnecour served in the Korean War for 4 years
10 months and 14, 8 of those months of his service to our country were
served overseas. In Sgt. Winnecours time of service with F Company 7th
Infantry Regiment he earned the following, Korean Service Medal w/ two
Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Service Medal.
Lewis Arnold Winnecour earned more than medals. Lewis Winnecour earned our
Respect, Trust and taught each and everyone of us that had the Pleasure and
Honor to stand a Flag Line with him Loyalty. Lewis Winnecour joining the
Pennsylvania Patriot Guard October 31, 2015. Before he knew it Lewis became
a Ride Caption for PAPGR April 5, 2016, then in a blink of an eye Lewis
Winnecour was a Sr. Ride Captain for PAPGR Region 11. On February 6, 2023
Lewis Winnecour stepped down as Sr. Ride Captain. Letting us all know that
he may be stepping down from the title and responsibilities that come with
SR. Ride Captain, "He would not stop attending the funeral of our service
men and women that have made this country free."
We know you have gone in peace, friend and brother. You have served well
here on earth, go and rest in eternal life.
