*Good Afternoon All,*
*One of our Senior Ride Captains made a suggestion to me yesterday that
makes a lot of sense. Below is a summary of the suggestion.*
*PGR has a staging time for a very good reason even though it adds time to
being on a mission.*
*For all members attending a mission, staging time gives you the ability to
meet some of the other members. This is a time for old members to make new
members feel comfortable at a mission. You might need help with a bike
repair and many of our members are knowledgeable and willing to help. It's
not mandatory to make it to a staging, but it usually works out for
everybody.*
*For the Ride Captains and the Ride Captains in Charge. Utilizing the
staging time to your benefit always makes a mission go smoother. It would
be a benefit for the Ride Captain in Charge to hold a mini briefing with
the Ride Captains who are attending. If they have an idea of what you are
doing, they are going to be able to help you instead of getting in your
way. Your mission briefings generally will go a lot smoother if your Ride
Captains have some idea of what is going on. Also, it isn't a bad idea to
introduce your Ride Captains to funeral directors or others putting a
funeral together. Once again, it is not mandatory that you attend a
staging, but it could work in your favor.*
*Once again, I want to thank all of you for stepping up to stand for our
Heroes and their families. We have been busy lately and so many of you have
turned out to help. I know, it is an honor for us to do what we do, but you
are Heroes too.*
