</span></b><span style="color:black">The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked
to<a name="m_-8704615082297274210__Hlk7543756"></a><a name="m_-8704615082297274210__Hlk23864268"></a> Honor and Escort <a name="m_-8704615082297274210__Hlk127114176">Sergeant Joseph T. Novak Sr., who
served </a>honorably and faithfully in The United States Marine Corps during
the Vietnam War. Joseph <span style="background:rgb(250,250,250)">entered the Marine
Corp at the age of 16. During the 2 years of training, he certified as a Master
Demo, upon his eighteenth birthday he volunteered to go to Vietnam. He served
in Vietnam from 1968-1970. He received among others medals the Cross of
Gallantry and two purple hearts. He spent 1 year in Walter Reed Medical
facility. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corp in 1971 and was
transferred to the United States Marine Corps Reserves until 1974 when he
separated due to a skin condition caused by Agent Orange</span>. For his
service Joe received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal
with 1 Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Combat Action Ribbon</span><span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:center;margin:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif" align="center"><span style="color:black;background:rgb(250,250,250)">Joe was a lifetime member of Vietnam
Veterans of America Chapter 542 where he served as SGT at Arms. He was also a
lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW, Marine Corp League, and Marine
Riders. He supported Marine Corp Museum, Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Fund, and
National Vietnam War Museum, He is also a 20 veteran of Toys for Tots of
Northern Dauphin County. Active in the community He collected and delivered
food to the Feed My sheep Food Bank in Halifax. Joe was instrumental in
assisting many veterans' entry into the VA hospital.</span><span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:center;margin:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif" align="center"><span style="color:black">We will stand in honor of Joseph for his outstanding
service to his country at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home.<br>
We will then escort Sergeant Joseph Theodore Novak to Indiantown Gap National
Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with full military honors<br>
Sergeant Joseph T. Novak Sr. is a true patriot who served his country with
honor. Now it is our turn to stand and honor him.</span><span></span></p>
