The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to stand in honor of Calvin A.
Sotdorus at his graveside service. Calvin Arthur Sotdorus was a combat
veteran of the United States Army serving with the. 27th Infantry Regiment
during the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal w/1
Bronze Service Star, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal,
United Nations Service Medal, and the Good conduct Medal. He was a life
member of the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post #403, Glen Rock where he
served as a Past Commander and various other offices of the Post over the
years. He also was a member of Pennsylvania American Legion District 22, a
40-year member of 40 & 8 Organization, 50-year member of the Vikings
Athletic Club, York, Life Member of the Hanover Moose Lodge #227 and Life
Member of the West York VFW Post 8951.

Due to the Covid-19 guidelines, the family is choosing to honor Calvin with
a public graveside service to be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 10, 2021
at St. Paul's (Dub's) Church Cemetery, 1958 Dub's Church Road, Hanover,
with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Masks and
social distancing will be required at the cemetery.

The Austin Grove Riders are extending an invitation /Request for a Flag
Line to send their past Post 403 Commander and good friend home. They will
be meeting at the Glen Rock American Legion 4035 Manchester Street Glen
Rock Pa 17327 @ 9:30 am Wednesday March 10 2021

KSU @ 9:40 and setting up a flag line honoring his service at the Cemetery
for a Grave side service.
