*Good Afternoon PGR Members,*

*The holiday season is upon us . . . to those of the Jewish faith I want to
wish you  a belated Happy **Hanukkah, and to those of the Christian faith I
want to wish you Merry Christmas. For all of us, we are turning the page on
last year and we are putting our hopes and dreams into the New Year. I wish
and I pray that each of you have those hopes and dreams fulfilled. You are
a group of people who have stepped up to honor and stand for those who can
no longer thank you and you deserve the best of the New Year.*

*This past year the Pennsylvania Patriot Guard Riders were asked to stand
for so many of our Heroes, many of those Heroes killed in action, some of
those Heroes had no family or friends to stand for them. In every single
case Patriot Guard Rider members stood willingly in the heat, cold, snow,
rain and wind. I am humbled by what you all do but not because you show up
at missions. I am humbled by you because of your character when you show up
at missions . . . you stand with the attitude that "it isn't about me"  . .
. that makes you a hero too.*

*Saying thank you to all of you does not seem enough, but we receive thank
you through hugs, tears, kisses from the families of Heroes that we stand
for. You all have made a difference to every single Hero and family that
you have stood for and honored. I hope that you are all proud of what you
do even though it is not about you. Our State Captain, our Veterans
Representative, our Senior Ride Captains and our Ride Captains appreciate
your efforts and that all thank you for what you do. You are not a number
to us you are our family.*


*Can the Patriot Guard Riders use more help? Always. We are always looking
for heroes who want to stand and honor our fallen. The welcome mat is out
to all of you. Today our country is fractured and needs more heroes like
all of you. Patriot Guard Rider members set the example at every single
mission that they attend. We cannot fix the world, but we work at it in a
very special way. What a special family we are. *
