[PGR_PA_r4] Thanksgiving Ruminations

[STATE CAPTAIN]

Fellow Patriot Guard Riders,
  With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, gather with friends and family and
give thanks to each of them for what they bring to you this day (and
everyday).  Sometimes it is hard to see the blessings that are before us,
some blessings are not right in front of us, and some still remain to be
unveiled.  The blessings ARE there... seek them out, let them come to you
and be thankful you have received them.
  For us it may be a blessing to be part of this organization, but for the
families we stand for, we *ARE *a blessing to them!  As they see there are
people who they do not know take the time out of their day to be at their
loved one's services, it lifts their spirits (even if it is for a brief
moment) to know someone else cared about their hero.  YOU are the ones out
there that the families see, tell their loved ones' stories to, they thank
us for being there and we quietly/politely say "Its an honor to be here."
  Please be careful if traveling to and from your destination.  When you
all sit together, and bow your heads in thanks, take another moment to
thank those who are in harm's way and cannot be with their families and
pray for their safe return back to the United States!
