Please read the following pertaining to Memorial Day from Aaron Zeff,
PGR.ASC.West. Thank you for all you do and why you do it. Thank you Aaron
for these words so well put and felt by all.
*Good Morning Everyone,*
*Memorial Day, a day to remember those who have passed away in active
military service, is celebrated this coming Monday. Around the country
Memorial Day services will take place throughout the coming weekend in
churches, synagogues, cemeteries and in homes in almost every single
neighborhood. As Patriot Guard Riders this is a time for us to make a
statement and show our support for those who have paid the **ultimate** price
so that we can live in peace to enjoy the lives that we and our families
have today. *
*I know, this is a holiday for picnics, swimming, car sales, hot dogs,
whatever . . . but, we need to at least stop what we are doing, wherever we
are, and take a few moments to reflect and remember these Heroes who are no
longer with us and who cannot enjoy the things that we Americans have
today. Etched in my head are the names of the Heroes found on the Vietnam *
*Veterans** "The Wall" whose lives were cut short years ago. I remember
them every single day, but I stop ad honor them on this particular holiday
. . . Memorial Day. By honoring these heroes on that Wall, I am honoring
all heroes on every wall, in every cemetery and in every unmarked grave.
The Patriot Guard Riders ask all of you to find a way to honor even one
hero no longer with us, and by honoring that one hero you will be honoring
every hero. You can honor a hero with a group or in a personal way as I do
. . . it is what every single American should do.*
*In almost every area in Pennsylvania, the Patriot Guard Riders will be
attending services to honor our heroes. If you wish to attend with us, we
certainly would love to have you. We invite you and your families . . .
this is a time to teach your children and grandchildren that our country
has heroes that need to be remembered and honored. These heroes stood for
us and now it is our time to stand for them. By stopping for a few minutes
to honor the men and women who gave up their precious lives for us, we are
honoring ourselves too. If you want to join us and don't know where or what
is going on, please feel free to contact the State Captain or one of the
Assistant State Captains directly . . . it will be a pleasure for us to
answer any questions and to point you in the direction of a Memorial
Service. *
*Once again, I want to thank you all for what you do as Patriot Guard
Riders . . . you are all special people . . . you are also heroes and you
have earned a special place in the hearts of so many people. *
