*About the Mission:*
Pony Express going from Arizona to Arlington for William Livernois, U.S.
Navy, Retired departing Arizona on 19 April for 25 April Honors at
Arlington.
The son of the hero will be going the distance and carrying the ashes and
flag.
William John Livernois served this nation proudly in the United States Navy
for over 21 years, with many years of sea service. Attaining the rank of
Master Chief Petty Officer, William received many commendations including
the Good Conduct Award (4th), the National Defense Service Medal, the
Combat Action Ribbon, the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Meritorious Unit
Citation (Gallantry Cross) and he received the Navy Commendation Medal “V”
while aboard the USS Rowan. Master Chief Livernois also received a Letter
of Commendation from the Commanding Officer of the USS Tingey in November
1963 for his actions during a collision between 2 destroyers. From service
aboard the USS Rowan to the USS Tingey to the USS Okinawa and the USS
O’Brien and even the USS Robert E Lee Ballistic Missile Submarine, Master
Chief William Livernois epitomized the expression “Service Before Self”.
His dedication and commitment to the United States Navy is second to none.
It is our honor to stand in silent reverence as we show respect and
gratitude to this hero for his sacrifices made for this nation.

*Instructions:*
We are providing a Pony Express from Arizona to Arlington for William
Livernois, US Navy. We will be transporting the cremation and burial flag
for the journey. We will have a chase vehicle and trailer with us. This
portion of the mission is W.Va,/Pennsylvania/MD. Arlington honors will be
on 25 April. The son of the hero will be going the distance and carrying
the flag and ashes. This stage will go to Keyser's Ridge Auto and Truck
Stop 4008 National Pike, Accident, MD 21520 where the escort will stop for
a break and transfer to the next leg of the escort. Someone will be needed
to stand guard for the bikes, cremains and items as the riders take a
break. There is a book to provide to the family that each rider involved
should sign at one of the stops.
