 Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Roger Earl Speer, a 
U.S. Army veteran, to stand in silent honor for his service.<br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">Roger
 entered the U.S. Army August of 1967,in theatre during Vietnam with the
 101st Airborne then transferred to the U.S. Army Reserves untill  he 
was honorably discharged, with the rank of Specialist 4 August of 1973.<br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">Decorations
 include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, 
Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 2 Overseas 
Bars.<br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">
Following time served, Roger became a member of the Wheatland West Middlesex Honor Guard which he 
proudly served and he also belonged to the Hickory VFW and the Sharon 
American Legion.
