Fellow Patriot Guard Riders,
  I am writing to pass along the news of OHPGR State Captain Bob Wood's
passing.  He held the reigns of Captaincy for MANY years and kept OHPGRs
Mission going strong.  For those who knew him, please know we will pass
along any invitation for PGR to attend.
Please keep Bob's family and extended OHPGR family in your thoughts during
this time.

URGENT MESSAGE:
It is with extreme sadness and a heavy heart that I have been asked to
announce the death of OHPG State Captain Bob Woods. Bob has been a Hero for
so many families for so many years. Bob held the Mission of our
organization to the highest of standards. Some agreed with him some did
not, but Bob always held true to his beliefs. The OHPG has been recognized
as Bob always said by people in very high places, in Government, LE, as
well as by his peers around the country for the outstanding organization it
is. It became the organization it is because of him and his total
commitment of excellence in serving our Heroes and their families. Bob
dedicated his life over the past 16+ years to the mission of OHPG. This has
been his passion, and no one person can ever come close replacing him.
I will not even begin at this time to tell you about the loss so many are
feeling including myself, but I will tell you what Bob would tell me. He
would say suck it up cupcake the death of this veteran is no different than
the death of any other veteran. Do what I’ve taught you to do. The family
is in charge, and we need to respect their privacy and do what we do best.
We will release the necessary information only after everything is
confirmed and is fact. We don’t deal in rumor.
With that being said…… please respect Maxie and Bob’s family’s privacy as
they work through this difficult time. I will post more Information as it
