<span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><span style="color:rgb(153,0,0)"><i><b><span class="gmail_default"><span style="color:rgb(153,0,0)"><i><b><span class="gmail_default">J</span>ohn<span class="gmail_default"> Albert</span> Minderler<br>US Army<br>Vietnam Era Veteran<br>First Responder <br>27 June 2021 <br>Shinglehouse, PA</b></i></span><br><br><br></span></b></i></span></span><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of John<span class="gmail_default"> Albert </span>Minderler, U.S. Army veteran, to escort then stand in silent honor for the interment at the cemetery.</span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></span></div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">John <span class="gmail_default">entered the U.S. Army </span>during the Vietnam era<span class="gmail_default">,</span><span class="gmail_default"> served from</span><span class="gmail_default"></span> September of 1961 then transferred to the U.S. Army <span class="gmail_default"></span>Reserves<span class="gmail_default"> September of 1963</span> until he was honorably discharged, with the rank of Private First Class September of 1967.<br><br></span><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">Following time served<span class="gmail_default"></span> John became a member, now of 50 years with the Shinglehouse Volunteer Fire Department where he was a Former Chief and Past President<span class="gmail_default"> and </span><span class="gmail_default">was</span> on the Board of Directors,<span class="gmail_default"> an</span> EMT and<span class="gmail_default"> the</span> Ambulance President<span class="gmail_default">. John was </span>one of the founding members of the Potter County Fire Departments Chief’s Association, member of Allegany (NY) and Tri-County Fireman’s Association,<span class="gmail_default"> member of</span><span class="gmail_default"> </span><span class="gmail_default">the</span> Potter County Local Emergency Planning Committee,<span class="gmail_default"> the </span>Potter County Fire Coordinator, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Forest Fire Warden, Potter County Emergency Management Coordinator for Shinglehouse and numerous<span class="gmail_default"> </span><span class="gmail_default"></span><span class="gmail_default">t</span>ownships in the area and <span class="gmail_default">was also a member</span> on the Potter County Hazmat Response Unit. <br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><span class="gmail_default"></span>John was also a 42 year active member of the<span class="gmail_default"> the</span> American
Legion Post <span class="gmail_default">#</span>530<span class="gmail_default"> in Shinglehouse,</span> where he served several times as <span class="gmail_default">C</span><span class="gmail_default"></span>ommander and had held
many other positions in the organization<span class="gmail_default"> and</span><span class="gmail_default"></span><span class="gmail_default"> he was an </span>active member of the
Potter County Honor Guard<span class="gmail_default">.</span></span>
