*Dear Members,*

*I am sad to report the passing of Ralph DeLorme. For those of you who
didn't know Ralph, he was a past PA Patriot Guard Rider Assistant State
Captain, an Army Lifer, a super Patriot and a really good guy. Knowing
Ralph was an experience in life, he could be dead serious at one time and
at another he could have you cracking up with laughter. Not everybody got
along with Ralph, but nobody denied is loyalty to our country or to the
Patriot Guard Riders. Ralph was a man among men and his contributions to
what we do are many. I am one of many who called Ralph a friend and I am
one of many who will miss him dearly.*

*If you can make this mission or any part of this mission, please do so.
Ralph DeLorme deserves to have a strong PGR presence as he went out of his
way for so many. I urge you to pay your respects and to let the family know
that Ralph and all of his efforts were important. Ralph was one special
person . . . may he rest in Peace with the Angels*

*ABOUT THE MISSION:*
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of SFC Ralph
"Sarge" Alan DeLorme Retired, U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, to stand in silent
honor for his service.

Ralph enlisted in the U.S. Army August of 1966, in theatre during Vietnam
and was honorably discharged, with the rank of Sergeant First Class Retired
August of 1988.

Decorations include, the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal,
the Air Medal, the Army Commendation Medal W/Valor, the Army Commendation
Medal w/ 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal, the Good Conduct
Medal (6th Award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service
Medal w/4 Service Stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross
of Gallantry Medal w/ Palm Unit Citation.

Following retirement Ralph continued serving, employed by the Pittsburgh VA
Hospital from 1989 until 2000 as a Human Resources Personnel Clerk and PGR
member which includes, Former Assistant State Captain West from January
2007 until September 2015, Former Veteran Liaison West and continued to
attend PGR Missions up until recently, answering the call for a hero died
today,"Standing for those who stood for us.

Ralph served our country and community with honor, it's now our turn to
stand in honor for him.

time.

Please be aware and alert of your surroundings. Also, before heading out
please watch the weather, dress accordingly and grab your masks.
